Safeguarding Adults Board Manager

Location – Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, M32 0TH. The role is hybrid, with expectation of a weekly presence in the office

Salary range – Band 12- £53,895- £57,186 per annum

Working Pattern – Full time, 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday, hybrid arrangement

Working hours – Core hours are 8.45am- 5pm, however the office is open from 7.00 am until 5.30 pm, and there may be occasions where activity takes place outside of core hours

About the Role

As Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) Manager, you will work closely with the Independent Chair, statutory partners, and the wider safeguarding network to drive forward Trafford’s safeguarding agenda.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and supporting the strategic work of the TSAB
  • Ensuring effective governance and oversight of safeguarding practices
  • Driving learning from Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and embedding best practice
  • Developing and strengthening partnerships across health, social care, the voluntary sector, and wider members of the SAB partnership
  • Leading on key projects to improve outcomes for adults at risk

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong safeguarding expertise who are looking to develop leadership experience in a high-profile strategic role, and those with a passion for adult safeguarding and working with partners to make a difference for our vulnerable residents.


About you

You’ll also be able to demonstrate experience in developing pathways and processes which improve service delivery and outcomes for our residents, alongside leadership abilities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You should also have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an adult safeguarding field. This can be in Social Care, Health, or other related areas.
