Your Role
As a Route Equipment Inspector, you will support and enable TfGM to deliver programmes of bus stop upgrades in Greater Manchester to deliver better experiences for passengers. In this role, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of on street works and Bus Operators for the delivery of highway upgrade schemes.
In time, you will be a key member of the team covering the whole of Greater Manchester, assisting in the management of contractors and the provision of bus stops and information liaising with key stakeholders. For more information, please see the role profile at the bottom of the advert.

You will play an important part in the Facilities Management Team that are currently working towards delivering Greater Manchester’s vision for the future as part of Bus Franchising & the Mayor’s integrated transport plans. The Facilities Management team’s mission is to work towards a franchised system, representing better value for money for city-regions and a better service for passengers. A franchised bus network is also a better proposition for passengers, as it enables the city-region to plan services in the interests of the communities they serve, and it represents better value for money, with customer-focused targets around performance, reliability and improved passenger benefits on the nus network.
What you’ll bring

You'll have excellent communications skills with experience of working in a similar role. Experience in delivering minor civils and construction programs of work and Experience of monitoring compliance with quality standards is required. Youll also be responsible, dependable and have experience of working as part of a team. You will also have a full UK driving license.

This is a fixed term role for 3 years with a salary of £29,881 - £33,955 per annum depending on skills and experience. You’ll also be joining a team that will provide you with opportunities to further develop your skills and experience.
