Role Overview:
Working within the council’s Street Lighting Service, you will help manage and monitor the performance of our Service Provider for Oldham and Rochdale Councils in line with Private Finance Initiative contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and distribute a range of service intelligence for Oldham and Rochdale, incorporating contract performance, customer contacts and liaison with other council departments.
- Help develop and implement effective methods of measurement, monitoring and evaluation of policies and delivered services.
- Monitor and maintain operational budget including raising of purchase orders, recharges, and approval in line with approval limits.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- The ability and experience to analyse and interpret street lighting management information systems to effectively monitor and manage the deliver the street lighting service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise the street lighting team with confidence to challenge the Service Provider, where appropriate based on evidence found.
- Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop, and manage the provision of appropriate service intelligence; ensuring the street lighting team have access to appropriate and timely information about the street lighting services in Oldham and Rochdale.
