Teaching Assistant - Level 2

Contract: 12 months Fixed Term (subject to review)
Salary: £26,403 - £28,142 (full time full year equivalent)
Actual Salary: £16,939 - £18,055 per annum (Grade 3)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 27.5 per week, term time plus 5 days

The Trust, Governors and Headteacher of our highly successful Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a positive, well-motivated and friendly Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child 1:1 and join our hardworking and dedicated team of professionals.

The successful candidate will:
- A passion and commitment to working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Understanding of the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and be able to use effective strategies to support them
- Experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning
- Awareness of child development and knowledge of how children learn
- Experience ofworking with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school
- Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers
- NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework
- Completion of Department for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
