About the role

An exciting opportunity to work within the developing Energy Team within Housing Services to make big improvements to our homes and tenants and to help improve the carbon footprint of the Housing Stock.

Reporting to the Home Energy Manager you will have responsibility for implementing the organisation energy efficiency and environmental policies, procedures, practices, and initiatives.

We are looking for someone with passion and enthusiasm in the field of energy and knowledge of energy efficiency within public sector housing and retrofit projects and behaviour change. Good communication skills are essential.

You will provide specialist energy and regeneration advice to the technical team with bespoke and cross cutting projects and initiatives.

You will act as the point of contact between customers and Bury Council to support a range of planned refurbishment projects being delivered from inception through to contract completion.

You will liaise with the customer and deliverer to ensure projects progress smoothly and within expectations.

Normal hours of work are 34 hours per week based around the usual business working week. There maybe the possibility these hours will be increased to 37 hours Based at 6 Knowsley Place, you will be working minimum 2 days in the office and remote hybrid working.

Salary is £25,464 (fulltime 37 hour equivalent is £27,711)
