The Governors, staff and children of The Gates Primary School wish to appoint outstanding Assistant Teachers to join our highly motivated and dedicated school team who can share and utilise their expertise. The posts are permanent from the start of the academic year 2024 and the hours will be 32.5 hours, 8.30am-3.30pm.

We are very proud of our school and so are the pupils. We are seeking to appoint Assistant Teachers who:
 Have experience of working within the multi-agency arena
 Have a good understanding of education and is able to extend young children’s learning committed to promoting high standards of attainment;
 Have very high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour for learning
 Loves teaching with an absolute commitment and willingness to continue to learn, reflect and improve
 Demonstrates knowledge, skills and experience to work with children with specific SEN needs and support other pupils
 Are willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
 Have experience of working with children with additional learning needs
 Are proactive and can work with individual children and small groups, both within and outside the classroom
 Have excellent English and Maths skills and an NVQ (Level 2) or similar qualification

Essential Qualifications:
 Holder of an NVQ Level 2, BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
 GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
